It’s always exciting to work on a graphic for a new player, or youngster who just started getting some recognition – but today is even more exciting!

This is my first ever wallpaper for one of the Arsenal Women, so I went for their biggest star – Danielle Carter.

Danielle is our longest serving player. She joined Arsenal back in 2009 from Leyton Orient, plays as a striker and wears the number 9 shirt.

In her eight years at Arsenal, Danielle has helped the team win a league title and two FA Cups. In fact, she was the star of the FA Cup Final in 2016 against Chelsea, scoring the only goal and bringing the cup home to the Emirates. So far, she has scored 26 goals in 81 appearances for Arsenal, and is set to keep scoring for the Gunners after agreeing a new deal with the club in the summer.

Danielle is also a regular for England’s national team, making her journey to the seniors from u15 level.

With the start of the new FA Women’s Super League this weekend, we thought it was long past time for us to feature some of the players in wallpapers of their very own.

Remember, you can follow all the action from all Arsenal’s teams here on Daily Cannon. We have a dedicated ladies team who follow them home and away (and further afield when they are on international duty).

As always, right-click to save your preferred version.
