As if Reiss Nelson hadn’t impressed us enough already, he pulled off this filthy goal in training.

Nelson was once again training alongside the first team in Arsenal’s open training session at the Emirates on Thursday morning.

The 17-year-old has been impressive in pre-season, traveling with the big boys to Australia and then China, before earning himself an assist against Benfica in the Emirates Cup during a match the Gunners won 5-2.

Just in case you didn’t think this lad was the real deal, check out this simply mouth-watering goal Nelson pulled off in training at the Emirates.

The teenager twists away from one player, and nutmegs another before dinking the ball cheekily over the goalkeeper into the net.

Even though the goal’s ‘just’ during a training exercise, it shows huge confidence as well as skill, agility and pure unadulterated talent.

Last season, Nelson made 27 appearances for Arsenal’s youth teams, scoring 12 and assisting six.

The England u18 international is yet to make a senior appearance. However, I’d put money on this changing during the 2017/18 season.

The Europa League could be a blessing in disguise for players like Nelson who need experience on the big stage but may not get much of a look-in in the Premier League, especially considering how pivotal the first team’s title campaign could be.

The youngster is obviously hugely talented and Arsene Wenger clearly has him in his immediate plans. Therefore, as fans, we have every right to be getting excited about this lad’s awesome skills, even if they are ‘only’ in training.
