Thomas Lemar left Monaco training ‘upset’ after a bust-up between Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho.

Monaco winger and Arsenal target Thomas Lemar was reportedly upset as he left training on Monday. According to Football London, Lemar was affected by a bust-up between team mates Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho, though he wasn’t directly involved.

They claim that Mbappe and Fabinho had a falling out over the former’s desire to leave Monaco amid interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. Tensions are said to be high at Monaco after the sale of several key players.

Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy both departed for Manchester City, while Tiemoue Bakayoko joined Chelsea. Speculation about the futures of Fabinho, Lemar and Mbappe has also been relentless throughout the summer.

Should the situation not improve, Lemar’s desire to leave Monaco could be strengthened. Arsenal will hope that this can be used to their advantage. The Champions League semi-finalists have refused to sell Lemar so far this summer, but that position could change if the player becomes deeply unhappy.

Arsenal have been told they will have to pay around £55m for the 21-year-old who contributed 19 goals in 28 Ligue 1 starts last season.
