Tottenham have had a bid rejected for Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon, which could put the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City on alert.

Sessegnon is one of the most highly-rated talents in England, having broke through at Fulham last season. According to the Mirror, Spurs have had a £25m bid rejected for the left-back, a sign that Fulham aren’t about to let him go cheaply.

Sessegnon has been linked with every top club in England after making 30 appearances and scoring seven times for Fulham last season at just the age of 16.

Able to play left-back but also on the left-wing, he’s drawn comparisons with Gareth Bale. Some have already predicted that Sessegnon will play further up the pitch later in his career.

He capped off a successful season by helping the England U19 team win the U19 European Championships. He was joint top-scorer in the competition with three goals.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are also said to be interested. Knowing this, Fulham can freely increase the asking price to ridiculous proportions.

Given how sparse good English talent is, it won’t be long until someone pays that ridiculous fee. Sessegnon has recently signed a new contract with Fulham and looks set for another season in the Championship.
