Thierry Henry wasn’t just Arsenal’s all time top Premier League goalscorer, netting 175 goals, he was the Gunners top goalscorer for seven years in a row.

Henry was Arsenal’s top goalscorer in 1999/00 (17), 2000/01 (17), 2001/02 (24), 2002/03 (24), 2003/04 (30), 2004/05 (25) and 2005/06 (27).

In second place was Ian Wright, who was Arsenal’s top goalscorer when the Premiership first begin in the early 1990s. He scored the most for five seasons in a row.

Annoyingly, in third, there was Robin Van Persie, who was Arsenal’s top goalscorer four times, although not in a row.

Also on the list of the Gunners’ top goalscorers since the beginning of the Premier League put together by the Daily Star is Nicolas Anelka, who scored 17 in 1998/99; Dennis Bergkamp, who netted 16 in 1997/98; Cesc Fabregas, and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Theo Walcott was even Arsenal’s top scorer once when he managed to score 12 goals in 2012/13.

Interestingly, Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez have both been top goalscorer twice.

Big Sexy even beat the Chilean to it during the 2015/16 season, showing that he is capable of going up against the 28-year-old.

Alexis scored the most last season – 24 – since RvP back in 2011/12 when the Dutchman netted an impressive 30 in the Premier League alone.

Who will be Arsenal’s top goalscorer this season? Will Alexandre Lacazette dazzle? Will Alexis even stay? Or will Giroud take the crown for a third season?
