Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has been showing off a new tattoo on Twitter, before discovering from any fans that it hasn’t been spelt correctly.
The forward seems to have a thing for tattoos, and took to social to show supporters his latest addition.

According to First Post, the tattoo reads “Om Namah Shivaya”, a Hindu mantra revering Lord Shiva. We assume that Walcott likes the sentiment behind the mantra and hasn’t secretly converted to Hinduism.
Unfortunately for Theo, it seems whomever did the tattoo can’t spell. Indian Arsenal supporters were quick to point out that the tattoo was incorrect.
Your tattoo guy kinda messed up, y'know.
This is what it should have been. pic.twitter.com/V6OwGFLHD2— Tanuj Baru (@barucracy) August 9, 2017
You've got incorrect letters. Last 3 letters mean dead body. Need to fix it. Fix it as shown in this photo.

Yeah. It looks cool and all, but the breaking of the alphabets is just wrong. @theowalcott should have checked with an Indian Gooner first.

Mate your tattoo artist destroyed it completely… should have been ॐ न म: शि वा य
Why you didnt try an Indian artist for this tattoo— Nikhil Kelkar (@nikhil_kel) August 9, 2017
Such is the danger of getting a tattoo in a foreign language. You’d think the 28-year-old would have confirmed the spelling with someone who can speak the language before getting it inked onto his back.
At the very least, the tattoo is in an easily hidden location. Nobody is going to be seeing it and snickering behind Walcott’s back. We can only imagine the Arsenal player’s reaction when he discovered the misspelling.
Nevertheless, the England international has bigger things to worry about this season as he looks to make an impact as Arsenal square off with Leicester City in Friday night’s Premier League opener.
