Jack Wilshere played his first game since April for Arsenal’s u23s against Derby County on Monday night.

The midfielder played for 73 minutes during the five-goal thriller, which saw Arsenal’s young guns come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Derby.

It was Reiss Nelson, who’s impressed in pre-season, who netted a brace before his pal, Eddie Nketiah, scored a late winner.

Wilshere, who played between Francis Coquelin and Cohen Bramall in central midfield, looked sharp and fit despite being out since the spring.

Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Kieran Gibbs also featured.

Wilshere has been heavily linked with a move away from north London, where he’s been since the age of nine, this summer.

He has under a year left on his current deal, which means Arsenal either cash in on him now, with several clubs being linked, or allow him to leave for free next year.

Juventus are the latest team to allegedly show interest in the England international, although his boyhood club West Ham, as well as Newcastle, are also said to be keen.

While it was initially said that Wilshere wanted to stay at Arsenal and try to fight for a place in the first team, more recent reports claim that he’s now resigned himself to the fact that he’s leaving and is looking for teams.
