Manchester City are willing to pay Alexis Sanchez £400k per week and could make a £50m offer to Arsenal according to reports on Sunday.

Did you know that Manchester City want Alexis Sanchez?

Well, if you didn’t, you’ll be glad to know that City have a grand scheme to finally sign the Chilean from Arsenal, as outlined by the super-reliable S*n newspaper.

According to them, City will give Alexis £325,000 per week in wages and an additional £75,000 in image rights, which would make him the highest paid player in the league by a distance.

See, it’s the exact breakdown of the money that gives it more credibility.

On top of that, they say that City will help Alexis buy the best accommodation possible in Manchester and will give all the advice he needs on what to buy and the best places to walk his dogs.

Joking aside, The S*n also writes that City are “plotting” a £50m bid, which I’m sure Arsenal will send back with a polite thanks-but no thanks.

The English tabloids have revelled in this transfer story and have rehashed every last detail.

They will no doubt continue to do so right up until the end of the window.
