Jurgen Klopp is expecting Arsenal to give Liverpool some headaches when the sides meet in the league on Sunday.

Arsenal go into the game on the back of an awful defeat to Stoke, knowing that defeat here could well seriously damage any title delusions they still harbour.

Games early in the season against Liverpool have not been Arsenal’s strongest suit in recent years, and with Liverpool so adept at beating top six sides, Arsene Wenger’s men are in for a rough afternoon.

“Arsenal are still an outstandingly strong side,” Klopp said.

“Alexis Sanchez is probably back for the first time on the pitch, so that gives this team another boost and that is, of course, an advantage for Arsenal.

“It’s a very, very, very important game. Last year we had an outstandingly good record against the top six.

“It is Arsenal: big experience, big quality, speed, technical skills, different systems, good players in each position on the pitch.”

It’s not all doom and gloom for Wenger and his merry band of morons, however.

They will mostly likely welcome both Laurent Koscielny and Alexis Sanchez back into the side. Not only do they bring with them skill and expertise, their leadership on the pitch at the top and bottom should hopefully help direct an Arsenal side that has seemed rudderless without them.

It also means we are likely to see a back three comprising more centrebacks than left-backs which will be a nice change.
