Juventus are considering making a bid for Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi, who has been linked heavily with Serie A rivals Inter Milan, according to latest reports.

Mustafi appears to be on the verge of leaving the club, with Inter Milan showing the most interest. According to talkSPORT, however, Juventus could also come in with a bid. Despite trying to sign Benedikt Howedes from Schalke, Juve are reportedly keeping their options open. One of those is the Gunners’ centre-back Mustafi.

Although he played in the 1-0 defeat to Stoke, he was left on the bench against Liverpool yesterday. An inexperienced centre-back and a left-back were chosen instead, suggesting that Mustafi really could soon be on the way out. Nobody is quite sure what is going with the 25-year-old or why any of this is happening, yet here we are.

Inter Milan expressed their interest in Mustafi a couple of weeks back. It was a story many rejected due to there being no good reason to sell him during a time where we need centre backs. However, Wenger didn’t deny the rumours and the reports continued.

Juventus were mentioned alongside Inter, but weren’t thought to be seriously pursuing him. They lost Leonardo Bonucci earlier in the summer and could be looking for a ball-playing defender to replace him. However, it seems they’re currently focusing on Howedes.
