Arsenal legend Ian Wright says that Dick Law and Ivan Gazidis have to take responsibility for the problems with the squad, as well as Arsène Wenger.

Ian said on BBC Radio Five Live via Tribal Football that even if Wenger does leave, there are other people involved at the club who aren’t doing nearly enough to get Arsenal to where they need to be.

In particular he picked out Arsenal’s transfer negotiator and chief executive, saying: “I have to blame Dick Law, and Ivan Gazidis for his silence. We’re not hearing enough from those people. The fans don’t demand enough of the people upstairs.

“Even if Wenger does go, there’s people upstairs who have to go as well. Dick Law and Ivan Gazidis are spineless people.”

Arsenal’s transfer activity has certainly been disappointing. After getting a couple of good deals done early on in the window, with Sead Kolašinac and Alexandre Lacazette joining the Gunners, the next step was reportedly to move some players on.

However, this step has taken the remainder of the window so far, leaving very little time to make any further purchases. Wojciech Szczesny left for Juventus, Gabriel joined Valencia, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs and Lucas Perez have deals that still haven’t been agree with two days to go.

So part of the blame for the state of the current squad has to go to negotiator Dick Law. Meanwhile, Wright thinks that Ivan Gazidis needs to take more stick because ultimately he has spoken out very little about what is currently going on at the club, only really speaking to the fans to confirm the new deal for Arsène Wenger.

Whether or not he’s picked out the right people, Wrighty is right to look at the situation in more detail, rather than just blaming one man for all of the club’s problems. What Arsenal need now are solutions.
