Arsenal negotiator Dick Law has held talks with Deportivo about Lucas Perez.

If Lucas is to leave Arsenal this summer, it seems Deportivo will be his destination.

According to La Voz de Galicia (via Sports Witness), Dick Law has been talking with Lucas’ agent, Rodriguez Fernandez Lovelle, about the move.

The report states that Arsenal and Deportivo could soon work out a deal that suits all parties.

Arsenal want £13m for Lucas, a price that’s beyond Deportivo currently. There is now talk of the clubs negotiating a loan deal with numerous clauses. Any loan would include either an option or an obligation to buy the player at the end of it.

Lucas wants to return to Deportivo after a frustrating season on the Arsenal bench, but the Spanish side haven’t quite got the finances to sign him outright.

Lucas’ agent has been critical of Arsenal’s handling of the transfer, saying that Arsenal’s demands are too high.

However, there seems to be some optimism that a deal could be done soon, and Lucas and Lovelle could ultimately get their way.
