If you were already finding it hard not to feel sorry for Carl Jenkinson, then things just got worse for you because Arsenal’s very own Gooner dislocated his shoulder while making his debut for Birmingham.
The lifelong Arsenal fan made the move to Harry Redknapp’s Blues in the hopes of reviving his career and, hopefully, getting into the England squad (bless).
But all that will now be put on hold as he recovers from an injury that is likely to keep him out for some time.
The incident took place around the half hour mark when Jenks, making his first competitive start since the end of November, went down with his left arm clearly limp.

He was substituted immediately.
It’s not clear if this injury will see his loan terminated before it really got a chance to get going. We will, of course, update as soon as any more information becomes available.
If Birmingham want, we can let them have Mathieu Debuchy.
Cohen Bramall was not involved in the Birmingham matchday squad.
