Bayern Munich are considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Julian Draxler, according to reports from Germany.

The 23-year-old winger could leave PSG after his place in the squad was taken by Neymar. Draxler had become a regular on the left of PSG’s attack, but has recently been left out of their squads for their opening Ligue 1 fixtures.

While there has been plenty of rumours linking him to Arsenal, German outlet Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung claim that Bayern Munich are weighing up an offer. Bayern tend to be linked with any half-decent German player and that seems to be the case here with Draxler.

As far as wing options go, they already have Frank Ribery, Thomas Muller, Kingsley Coman, Arjen Robben and James Rodriguez. It’s difficult to see where Draxler would fit in. It also remains to be seen if Draxler will leave PSG this summer, or will wait it out until January.

The arrival of Neymar wasn’t expected and the player may need some time to weigh up all his options before making a decision. Arsenal are clearing out the squad before they look to bring in new faces so it’s unlikely they will lodge a bid for Draxler just yet.
