Barcelona have now reportedly joined Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign Monaco winger, Thomas Lemar.

Barcelona will join the race for Lemar if their move for Liverpool ace, Philippe Coutinho, doesn’t go ahead, claims Spanish outlet, Mundo Deportivo.

The La Liga giants have allegedly already spoken to super-agent, Jorge Mendes over a possible move for the 21-year-old as he has strong links with Monaco. He does represent Radamel Falcao after all.

Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for Lemar all summer. However, Arsene Wenger declared that the deal was dead ahead of the Gunners’ trip to Liverpool. Monaco allegedly weren’t willing to allow another player to leave.

However, fresh off the back of beating Arsenal 4-0 at Anfield, the Merseyside club entered the race to sign the winger and now appear to be favourites with GFFN claiming that Lemar’s representatives are currently meeting with Liverpool’s.

Liverpool were reported to be readying a £75m bid for the France international on Tuesday after having an offer of £66.5m rebuffed. Their opening bid was more than the bid Arsenal allegedly gave up on.

If Liverpool do sign Lemar after Wenger claimed the deal wasn’t possible, the situation in north London is going to get even more tense.
