Arsenal are the best supported club in the Premier League, according to a recent study.

A study conducted by Free Super Tips via The Mirror has revealed that Arsenal have the most loyal supporters in the Premier League. The study showed the Gunners, on average over the last five seasons, filled 99.4% of the Emirates Stadium.

It just about beat out Chelsea, who filled 99.1% of Stamford Bridge and Manchester United, who filled 98.8% of Old Trafford. Manchester City find themselves near the bottom, filling only 86.6% of the Etihad Stadium.

The study should be taken with a grain of salt. It uses official attendance figures handed out by the clubs and anyone who watches the games knows that those figures aren’t 100% correct.

There were several games last season where the Emirates Stadium clearly wasn’t full, yet the attendance figure would be given as a sell-out. In addition, numbers alone are hardly a measure of fan loyalty.

Arsenal fans may show up in their numbers, but not everyone sticks with the team, and it doesn’t take much to turn the crowd sour. Nevertheless, the club will be happy they making close to the maximum amount of money for gate receipts.
