The Arsenal players are reportedly fed-up of Alexis Sanchez and are keen to see the back of him this summer.

The Arsenal squad are so fed-up with Alexis’ antics that they want him sold. That’s according to the Telegraph, who report that the Chilean’s attitude and behaviour in recent months has driven a wedge between him and his teammates.

The cynical among you will see this as a transparent attempt to vilify Alexis ahead of a potential move to Manchester City. Arsenal won’t be selling because they can’t match his ambitions. They’ll be selling because he was disrupting the harmony of the squad.

Cynicism aside, it’s evident that Alexis’ personality causes friction at the club. He was infamously dropped for last season’s trip to Anfield due to him walking out of training early, a move that upset many players.

Other examples cited by the Telegraph include him throwing his gloves to the ground in a 3-3 draw at Bournemouth and that bizarre incident at Swansea where he went into a massive sulk after being subbed off when we were 4-0 up.

It’s hard to read into his recent performance against Liverpool due to him clearly lacking match fitness, but it’s believed he wasn’t all there in that game, either. All this has apparently culminated in the players wanting him gone because he’s clearly not committed to the cause.

That much is evidently true, I believe. However, reports like these seem rather petty in the grand scheme of things.
