Manchester City have been left disappointed by Jadon Sancho, with the young winger repeatedly failing to turn up for training. Arsenal are one of many clubs keeping tabs on the teenager.
The Telegraph report that since being left out of Pep Guardiola’s tour squad earlier in the summer, Sancho has failed to turn up for training for most of August, and has been difficult to get hold of despite being active on social media.
The 17-year-old recently posted on Instagram a picture of himself at Red Bull Studios London with the caption “coming soon”, leading to speculation that he means to return to London.

However, for the time being, Sancho is still a Manchester City player, and as such his conduct in the last six weeks has been disappointing from a professional standpoint, something which I feel is unlikely to sit well with Arsenal higher-ups.
On the other side of things, you can understand his frustration. After a season in which he scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in 33 youth matches, he hasn’t been given a chance in the first-team.
Meanwhile, best friend Reiss Nelson had a similarly impressive season for the youth teams and as a result got his pre-season debut for Arsenal, followed by his competitive debut in the Community Shield at Wembley.
Nelson’s following has grown rapidly, whilst Sancho may feel he is being left behind. With only a day left of the transfer window, he’ll need to get in contact with the City team fast if he wants a move.
