Jeff Reine-Adelaide could be heading to Ligue 1 Nantes on loan, according to reports.
The Jeff seems to have gone under the radar recently. The French midfielder was absent during pre-season due to an ankle injury, and the emergence of other youngsters such as Reiss Nelson has overshadowed him completely. There were even reports of Wenger not wanting him anymore.
Despite that, the 19-year-old remains a big talent, and could be headed out on loan this season. According to L’Equipe, Arsenal have discussed the possibility with Ligue 1 side Nantes. They claim that Nantes would be interested.
Nanes, coached by former Leciester boss Claudio Ranieri, kicked off their Ligue 1 season last week with a 3-0 defeat to Lille. They’re expected to languish in the bottom half of the Ligue 1 table.
Still, it could be a great experience for Reine-Adelaide, who is reaching the point of needing more first team football.
Reine-Adelaide wowed the Arsenal fans with his performance in the 2015 Emirates Cup and has made a smattering of first team appearances for Arsenal since.
However, due to Arsenal’s squad size and the emergence of other young talents, he may find first team opportunities very limited this season.
A loan only makes sense.
