Arsenal have had a bid rejected for Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura, according to reports.

The Ligue 1 club could end up selling one or two players after the £198m signing of Neymar from Barcelona, and it’s suggested that Brazilian winger Lucas Moura could be one of them.

According to UOL Esporte, Arsenal have had a bid rejected for Moura, but could still get him if they offer something around £27m.

With Neymar now at the club and other high profile attackers to accommodate, Moura’s game time could be under serious threat. The 24-year-old has been a regular for PSG since arriving in 2013, and despite putting up some decent numbers has yet to really establish himself as a key player.

Arsenal just so happen to be looking at wingers, with a firm interest in Monaco’s Thomas Lemar. Moura could be a good alternative, especially at that price.

However, therein lies an issue. It seems strange that PSG would sell for what seems like a cheap price in a European market that is seeing fullbacks move for twice as much and £100m offers being thrown about for teenagers.

If a hugely wealthy English club came knocking, they would surely ask for much more money.
