Arsenal fans were less than impressed with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s performance against Liverpool on Sunday – and rightly so.
Surely after reportedly turning down an £180k-per-week contract with Arsenal, the Ox would want to prove to the other teams he’s been linked with, Liverpool and Chelsea, that he’s worth so much more? Apparently not.
The Ox was terrible for the Gunners during their 4-0 loss at Anfield at the weekend. In fact, worse than terrible, he looked apathetic, and Gooners were NOT happy.

In 6 years Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored 9 goals in 130 games for Arsenal. Good riddance #afc

Wenger is making up excuses to bring Oxlade into the side and he plays like he couldn't care less, he is done, should be off at HT #afc

Oxlade Chamberlain sums up the young modern English player. An absolute fucking mess who thinks he's better than what he is #AFC #LFCvAFC

Fucking hook Oxlade-Chamberlain at and send him to the other changing room at half time. Playing as if he does not give a fuck. Embarrassing

Arsene Wenger has lost the dressing room and the English lads are rebelling; Ramsey and Ox were having a chat as Liverpool attack their goal pic.twitter.com/asewLLb6cl

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is nothing to me anymore. The way he played yesterday, he may as well have worn a Chelsea shirt.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is leaving. See you later plonker

The 24-year-old had a 87% pass completion rate against Jurgen Klopp’s side and completed two out of the four dribbles he attempted. However, while his stats weren’t remarkable one way or the other, it was his body language and attitude that was even more disappointing.
The England international looked grumpy and was making it very clear, against a team he’s been continually linked with recently, that he doesn’t want to play for Arsenal or work under Arsene Wenger.
While the Ox wasn’t the only player who looked as if they couldn’t be bothered and isn’t the only one who’s now run into the final year of his contract, his unprofessional display was highlighted by claims that he turned down £180k-per-week and that Arsenal are demanding £35m – £40m for him.
Does he really, seriously think he’s better than that? Or does he just really, really not want to play for Arsenal?
