Arsenal have been draw against BATE Borisov, Cologne and Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League and Gooners have been reacting in hilarious fashion on social media.

After finishing fifth last season, just one point below Liverpool, Arsenal now find themselves in the Europa League for the first time sine 1999/2000 and I think it’s fair to say that despite facing ‘worse’ opposition, most Gooners are feeling pretty pessimistic. In other news, water is wet.

Despite most Arsenal fans only even hearing of one or two of the clubs in the Gunners’ Group (H), and that’s only because Lukas Podolski played for one of them, they firmly believed that the odds are stacked against them.

Fortunately, most are seeing the funny side.

Arsene Wenger’s already said that he’ll be concentrating on the Premiership this season (not sure what that’s going to start happening…) so most fans realise that the Europa League will be a chance for Arsenal to put out their B side so that the first team can rest during the week.

The fixtures might also produce some pretty fun away days. Although maybe not the Red Star Belgrade game…
