Following the recent signings of two defenders in Jessica Samuelsson and Josephine Henning, it seems like the Arsenal Women’s team are still on the prowl with another defender targeted.

Klepp defender and Norwegian international Maria Thorisdottir, who competed at the Euros in 2017 is apparently on the watchlist according to local paper Jaerbladet and it looks like Chelsea Ladies are also interested in signing her.

Thorisdottir was part of a Norwegian squad that disappointed at the tournament finishing bottom of their group with three defeats in three games and no goals scored.

The 24-year-old played in midfield in the 1-0 defeat against the Netherlands and in defence in the 1-0 defeat against Denmark.

We also hear that Arsenal are interested in signing a Manchester City player who hails from Macclesfield. The move would be a complex one and there is no indication that City are willing to sell the player to Arsenal, the same way as Arsenal do not intend to sell Alexis Sanchez to City.
