Alexis Sanchez took part in a full training session ahead of today’s Community Shield match against Chelsea.

The Chilean only returned to Arsenal training on Tuesday and spent the first couple of days working alone with a fitness coach.

However, according to the Evening Standard, Alexis is already involved in full training sessions with the rest of the squad and could be selected for the Community Shield later today.

Arsene Wenger previously said that he will asses Alexis, as well as fellow latecomer Shkodran Mustafi, before the game. He has now said that’s he’s undecided on whether he’ll involve them or not.

“Sanchez and Mustafi I haven’t decided yet as they have just come back. I haven’t decided yet if I will involve them or not,” Wenger said.

“We want not to take too big a gamble on a player (Sanchez) who has just come back.”

Alexis is always eager to play football and will be pushing to take part in the game against Chelsea.

Arsenal, though, will want to be careful with Alexis’ workload. He’s played an incredible amount of football since the last World Cup and hasn’t had a full pre-season with Arsenal due to international commitments.

There are also small doubts over Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil, who did not take part in training yesterday due to a muscle and ankle problems respectively.

However, Wenger expects them both to fit for the game against Chelsea.
