Alexis Sanchez’s agent has reportedly revealed Arsenal turned down a £50m bid from Manchester City, contrary to reports that the Sky Blues had yet to make an approach.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been keen to renew acquaintances with Alexis, a player he managed for a short time at Barcelona, and has offered a substantial amount to try and bring him to the Etihad Stadium.
Report also claims City will come back with a new 'mega bid' to 'see if it convinces Arsenal'. Wenger reiterated today that #afc won't sell. pic.twitter.com/ZBjyuJz7KZ

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has long said he has no plans to sell Alexis this summer, despite the Chilean international having less than 12 months remaining on his contract, but City are trying to tempt the Gunners into selling by paying above value to have him a year earlier.
Alexis is coming off the back of an outstanding season despite Arsenal’s failure to land a Champions League place, scoring and creating 34 goals in 38 Premier League. The 28-year-old has openly said he wants to play in the Champions League, intimating that a move to a side in the prestigious European competition might interest him, I feel. But Arsenal aren’t budging yet.
A bigger bid from Manchester City is expected before the summer transfer window comes to a close.
