Despite only being at the club for two months, Sead Kolasinac has already managed to win Arsenal fans over and here’s why.

Arsenal signed Kolasinac for free in June after the 24-year-old’s contract with Schalke ran its course. After six years at the Bundesliga club, the fans were gutted to see him leave and even made him a banner, which gave Gooners some idea of what sort of player we would be getting.

Little did we know that the left-back known as the ‘Bosnian Hulk’ would worm his way into our cold, icy hearts so quickly.

It took a couple of games but Kolasinac’s performance against Chelsea in the Community Shield last weekend seemed to be the moment that Gooners really began to sit up and realise: Blimey, we’ve signed a monster.

From that moment on, it only got better.

Here’s five reasons why Arsenal fans love Kolasinac already.

1. He scored against Chelsea

The left-back scored his first goal for Arsenal against Chelsea at Wembley in the Community Shield.

It was his goal that brought the scoreline level and allowed the Gunners to go on and beat the Blues 4-1 on penalties.

2. He can assist

On his Premier League debut, Kolasinac was once again directly involved in the scoreline.

This time, he assisted Danny Welbeck’s goal – an equaliser before half-time.

3. He gives zero f**ks

The defender was giving Riyad Mahrez such a hard time on Friday night.

He’s one of those players that just goes bulldozing into people and then pretending he doesn’t know why the referee blew his whistle.

I love it.

4. He’s a tank

I’m not sure which one, but either his mum or dad is a tank ’cause the guy is definitely at least half machine.

5. He described his debut as ’emotional’

Anyone who claims they got ‘very emotional’ during their debut for Arsenal is alright in my book.
