Sweden went through in second place with just four points, even after losing their final group game.

Germany 2 Russia 0

Germany topped Group B with seven points from a possible nine, but haven’t been convincing considering they’re yet to score from open play in the tournament.

Nevertheless, they got the result they needed on the night at the Stadion Galgenwaard, beating Russia – courtesy of goals from Babett Peter in the 10th minute and Dzsenifer Marozsán minutes before the hour mark.

Italy 3 Sweden 2

Italy managed a upset against tournament favourite Sweden, emerging victorious in a five-goal thriller at the Stadion De Vijverberg.

Daniela Sabatino opened the scoring for Italy minutes into the game, before Lotta Schelin levelled the match 14 minutes in.

Sabatino put Italy ahead again before the break but Stina Blackstenius equalised minutges after the restart.

However, Cristiana Girelli struck late to earn Italy the win. Sweden still went through, however.
