Austria 3 Iceland 0

Austria were underdogs but topped the group with an easy win over Iceland, a game they dominated and were rewarded with a big victory.

They are ranked 24th at the moment and no one could have predicted them to win the group over number-three ranked France. Iceland finish the tournament without a point to their name.

France 1 Switzerland 1

In the other game, Switzerland could have caused a huge upset as they took the lead from a free kick, after French defender Perisset was sent for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity.

Crnogorcevic, left unmarked at the far post, headed the ball in. And with France down to ten players, it looked like the tournament favourites were on their way out.

That was until Abily scored from a close-range free kick that saw the Swiss keeper Thalmann make a hash of the effort.

The game finished 1-1 and France went through as Group C runners-up.
