Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is believed to be a target for Swansea City, with manager Paul Clement weighing up a £20m bid this summer.

According to the Telegraph, Swansea consider Wilshere the perfect midfielder to continue their philosophy of attractive attacking football and hope his creativity will lead to more clear-cut chances for their forwards.

The England international spent last season on loan with Bournemouth and has been told he can exit the Emirates Stadium this summer, as his contract doesn’t look likely of being extended past 2018.

Italian Serie A side Sampdoria are the only club having so far made a bid, although their offer of £7.5 was quickly rejected. Newcastle United and West Ham United have been mentioned as potential suitors so Wilshere won’t be without interest.

The 25-year-old is currently recovering from a hairline fracture suffered in April but is looking to be back and fighting fit ahead of the upcoming season to aid his chances of a move.
