Arsene Wenger has predicted that the transfer window will get even busier during its final week.

- Predicts clubs will be busy over the rest of the window
- Arsenal linked with Monaco’s Lemar and Mbappe
Wenger believes that it’ll be all hands on deck for most clubs during the final week of the transfer window, which makes it hard to compete for players. However, he does believe that by wrapping up signings, such as Alexandre Lacazette, quickly, Arsenal have a certain advantage.
“It is an advantage because you go into the new season and you have an idea of what the players are about, with whom they can integrate the team and do well – overall I think it is a huge advantage,” Wenger told Arsenal Player.
“Unfortunately we are not the only ones to decide the pace of the transfer market.
“If you look around, not a lot has happened since the start of the opening of the transfers but certainly a lot will happen in the final part, especially in the last two weeks and even more in the last week.”
Arsenal still reportedly have their eye on Monaco winger, Thomas Lemar, who the Gunners are said to be making a £45m bid for. However, with the Ligue 1 side unwilling to sell since they’ve allowed about 40 first team players to leave this summer already, this particular transfer deal looks set to rattle on, no matter how quickly Arsenal want to wrap it up.
Other than this, and murmurings that they’re making record-breaking bids for Kylian Mbappe, Arsenal’s main priority seems to be tying existing players down to new deals.
