Lucas Perez has been linked with three clubs as he seems to move closer to an exit from North London.

The former Deportivo La Coruna striker, who has played for eight clubs, scored eight goals and made six assists in his 22 appearances for Arsenal but made so few starts in his debut season. Fenerbahce, Real Betis and Deportivo La Coruna have all shown interest in reviving his career, according to reports.

The news from Turkey suggests talks are to be held with Lucas’ agent and Fenerbahce. Real Betis are believed to be after the player as a replacement for the long-serving Ruben Castro. Deportivo President Tino Fernandez has himself confirmed their interest in bringing Perez back, albeit admitting defeat due to Arsenal’s asking price.

After coming back to North London for pre-season training, Lucas was then excluded from the trip to Sydney to kick off the pre-season. Wenger is said to want the deal done quickly, to make room in the squad for potential other targets. A drawn out saga is the last thing the Arsenal manager needs.
