Nathan Tella has put pen to paper on his first professional contract as a Southampton player, just months after joining after a successful trial period following his Arsenal departure.

According to All Nigeria Soccer, Tella was offered a contract by Southampton at the end of last season. Tella was told that his deal at Arsenal wouldn’t be extended in February and ever since, made attempts to secure his future elsewhere.

He impressed during a trial with fellow Premier League side, Southampton, and has signed a professional contract. Nominated for the club’s Goal of the Month award in April, he won the accolade in the following month after netting a brilliant solo effort against Manchester City u23s.
