Arsenal have refused to put a time frame on Santi Cazorla’s return amid concerns he could never play for the club again.

  • Reports claimed that Cazorla could be out until April 2018
  • The Spaniard has been struggling with an achilles injury
  • Arsenal have denied setback, but cannot give return date

There were reports this morning that Cazorla, who’s been struggling with an achilles injury, could be out until April 2018, thereby severely damaging his chances of playing for Arsenal again.

However, the Evening Standard has claimed that Arsenal have denied this. An Arsenal source has said they’re not aware of any setback in Cazorla’s rehabilitation, although there is currently no date set for his return.

Cazorla suffered the injury in the 6-0 victory over Ludogorets back in October. He was initially due to be out for just three weeks. Several months and surgeries later, the Spaniard is still out. The problem lies with the recovery, as the injury isn’t healing as it should do.

Without knowing whether the injury will heal correctly and by when, there are concerns about Cazorla ever playing again. We all sincerely hope that won’t be the case.
