Millwall are still believed to be keen on Arsenal’s Stephy Mavididi this summer to boost their pursuit of Championship consolidation next season.

According to latest reports, the 19-year-old isn’t a top priority for the Lions given their vast attacking options but more a player they believe could improve their chances of fending off relegation.

The Championship status could see them more of an attractive proposition than the likes of Charlton Athletic who are also rumoured to be keen on a season-long loan deal.

Mavididi would be one of six striker options in the Millwall if he made the switch to the London club this summer, with former AFC Wimbledon man Tom Elliot, Fred Onyedinma and Aiden O’Brien fighting for two spots in attack.

The latest reports state Millwall will wait for the completion of their final two pre-season games against Stevenage on Tuesday and Granada on Saturday before making an approach for the Arsenal centre-forward.
