Out-of-favour Anthony Martial has been linked with a loan move to Germany, according to latest reports.

Wolfsburg have been linked with a loan move by German publication Kicker. The club were last year involved in a relegation battle that they only managed to put to bed when they won their relegation play-off in May. Inter Milan are apparently also in for the player, perhaps with a deal involving Ivan Perisic going the other way.

Martial joined United in 2015, in a summer where he was linked with Arsenal and Arsène Wenger was reportedly told the Frenchman was not for sale, despite then leaving the club. In that season, he made 29 starts for the club and two substitute appearances.

The following season, then under Jose Mourinho, was significantly less successful for Martial. He only managed four goals compared to his previous 11 in the league, and was given just 18 starts over the 38 matches. At the time he was behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the pecking order.

Now, however, 24-year-old Romelu Lukaku is taking over the first-team spot in attack so the links away from United have cropped up again and Martial could be seeking a temporary mvoe as a result.
