Arsenal’s Lucas Perez won’t be sold for less than £10.6m, according to his agent, who has been speaking to the Spanish media.

Arsenal are looking to move the Spaniard on, after he couldn’t find a regular place in the team in North London.

He’s been left out of the pre-season tour, apparently so he could finalise a move away, but so far nothing has been agreed. The first leg of the tour has been completed and Arsenal have moved on to China.

Now, Lucas’ agent has revealed that the hold up is because Arsenal are standing firm on their asking price of £10.6m.He told Spanish newspaper AS:

Arsenal want to make up part of the money that they paid Deportivo the Coruña last summer, the club has paid 21 million euros (£18.6m) for Lucas, and I think they are willing to accept a figure of around 12 million euros (£10.6m) for his departure.”

Fenerbahce, one of the reported interested parties, could not afford to pay this sort of fee because of Financial Fair Play difficulties and were interested for loan move as a result.

Meanwhile, Deportivo have already said they don’t feel they can meet the Gunners’ demands. Hopefully Arsenal and Lucas can find a buyer willing to pay up as soon as possible so the club aren’t dragged along in another transfer saga.
