Liverpool have put their chase of RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita on hold until next summer.

  • Liverpool have had two bids rejected by Leipzig
  • Leipzig are refusing to sell the player
  • Arsenal have been heavily linked with Keita

Arsenal will still have a chance to sign Naby Keita as Liverpool have put their pursuit on hold. Liverpool have had bids of £57m and £66m for Keita rejected this summer and will now, according to The Times, wait until next summer before trying again.

RB Leipzig have made it clear that Keita is not for sale this summer as they want to keep hold of their best players for their first season in the Champions League. Arsenal have shown an interest and tried to sign Keita before he joined RB Leipzig a year ago.

With Liverpool holding off on making another bid, Arsenal will now have an opportunity to sign the midfielder themselves.
