Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in signing Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse.

  • Kruse had his most prolific season at Bremen last season
  • Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been linked

Kruse enjoyed the most prolific season of his career last season, as he scored 15 goals for Werder Bremen. Sport Bild are now linking the striker with Liverpool and Chelsea, and say that Werder Bremen would want £16m for him.

Arsenal have been previously linked with the striker, but are unlikely to have any serious interest now as they have several forwards at the club. At 29, Kruse hardly represents a long-term investment for any club, either.

Kruse has been passed around German clubs for a few years now, having played for Freiburg, Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen in the last five years.

Despite not being the most prolific, he has managed to get 14 caps for Germany and has scored four goals.
