Arsenal’s chances of signing Thomas Lemar may have received a blow as the player’s father wants him to say in France.

  • Lemar’s entourage feel he has a greater chance of making France’s World Cup squad if he remains at Monaco
  • Arsenal have had a bid for the midfielder rejected
  • Lemar would like to work under Arsene Wenger

Lemar had reportedly informed Arsenal that he would be interested in playing for them and working under Arsene Wenger. However, the player’s father is of the opinion that Lemar would be better off staying at Monaco, reports Football.London.

The Monaco winger’s entourage feel his chances of going to next summer’s World Cup would increase if he remained at the Stae Louis II, where he’d start every week.

Arsenal had a £30m bid rejected by Monaco and are expected to try again as they’re confident the player wants to sign for them. But that could change if the people advising Lemar believe he’ll be better off turning down approaches this summer.
