Leicester City have reportedly dropped their asking price for Riyad Mahrez.

  • Leicester originally wanted £50m for Mahrez
  • They have dropped their asking price to £40m
  • Arsenal, Tottenham and Roma are interested

It seems like some progress could be made in the Riyad Mahrez transfer saga. It was originally reported Leicester would hold out for something close to £50m. However reports have emerged they would accept £40m.

That suggests Leicester aren’t as confident about keeping hold of him as they were originally and are hoping for a deal to be done soon, given the player wants to leave. Roma reportedly had a bid of £30m rejected. Arsenal and Tottenham have also been heavily linked.

Mahrez went public with his intention to leave Leicester at the start of the summer, but is currently training with the Leicester squad and has participated in their pre-season friendlies. He will continue to feature for the Foxes while his future remain unclear.
