Alexandre Lacazette made his Arsenal debut against Sydney and promptly opened his Gunners scoring account with a tidy sidefooted finish.

Great movement from Olivier Giroud cleared the space, Alex Iwobi, a man looking like someone with a point to prove created the pass, and Laca strode on to the ball with perfect timing.

It was a tantalising glimpse of what Arsenal have paid a club record fee for and Arsenal fans everywhere hope that it’s just a small taste of what’s to come.
