Juventus are believed to have outbid Arsenal for Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos.

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that despite the Spanish midfielder’s reported £13m release clause, the Italian champions have bid £17.6m for him anyway, so they can try and win the support of the Real Betis when the player is making his decision.

They claim in their article that there are many top clubs interested in Ceballos, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Bayern and Arsenal, all of whom have apparently triggered the release clause.

A promising 20-year-old coming off the back of an impressive U21 Euros, it would be no surprise if a host of top clubs were showing interest in the player for this relatively cheap price.

He’s believed to be less interested in Italy and would prefer to stay in Spain, but could be swayed by the promise of game time. Whether Arsenal could offer him a regular spot in the team would depend on other factors.

It’s still unknown whether Santi Cazorla will be back at any stage of the season, as well as where Jack Wilshere will end up this summer with only a year left on his contract. If Arsenal are indeed interested, they’ll need to move fast given the interest in Ceballos.
