Jadon Sancho has reportedly failed to turn up for training with Manchester City on ‘several occasions’ amid claims that Arsenal are interested in signing him.

Sancho has allegedly not being turning up to training amid reports that the 17-year-old is being watched closely by Arsenal, with staff ‘struggling’ to reach him.

According to an EXCLUSIVE in the Telegraph, the winger’s apparent refusal to turn up to ‘several’ training sessions seems to stem from Pep Guardiola omitting the teenager from Manchester City’s pre-season squad, who traveled to the US earlier in July to face Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham.

According to the report, the youngster was ‘dismayed’ at being left out after being tipped to become one of City’s next big things.

The England u17 international is reportedly refusing to sign a new deal with City, who want to tie him down despite the teenager having three years left on his current contract.

Apparently, Sancho has taken one look at City’s poor record when it comes to bringing fresh blood through the ranks into the first team and decided that it’d be in his best interest to leave. However, the Sky Blues are said to have offered his a ‘lucrative’ deal in order to try and temp him to stay.

The report comes at the same time as Arsenal are being linked with a move for the talented winger, who scored 20 goals and assisted seven in 33 appearances for City’s youth team last season.

RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Spurs are also said to be interested.
