Arsenal are reportedly on alert after Stoke winger, Marko Arnautovic, handed in a transfer request.
- Arnie urged to leave Stoke for better team like Arsenal or Spurs
- Winger hands in transfer request
- 28-year-old said to cost £15m
- AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham all interested
Arnautovic was urged by Austria national team legend, Andreas Herzog, to leave Stoke for a ‘big club’ like Arsenal or Tottenham back in March despite having three years left on his contract.
Well, the 28-year-old winger has obviously followed this advice because he’s now, almost four month’s later, handed in a transfer request.
According to Sky Sports, Arnautovic handed in the request this afternoon (Monday) as he’s become increasingly ‘frustrated’ with Stoke’s lack of ambition.
The Potters allegedly want £15m for the Austria international and while Arsenal will presumably be on red alert since they’re in the market for a winger, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham are all said to be interested.
Arnautovic, or ‘Arnie’ as he’s known to his fans, signed for Stoke from Werder Bremen in 2013.
He’s a key player for Stoke having made 35 appearances last season, scoring seven goals and assisting six over all competitions.
