Fenerbahce are hoping to conduct negotiations with Arsenal for Lucas Perez within the next seven days.

  • Arsenal want £13m for Lucas, but Fenerbahce can’t afford that
  • They want a loan move instead
  • Fenerbahce manager Aykut Kocaman has personally requested the signing

The Lucas Perez transfer saga is approaching the “hurry up and get on with it” stage as yet more reports emerge that Fenerbahce want the player.

According to Turkish Football, Fenerbahce are hoping to conduct negotiations with Arsenal for the Spaniard within the next seven days.

Lucas has reportedly been personally requested by Fenerbahce’s new manager, Aykut Kocaman.

However, the Turkish club do not have the financially capability to pay the £13m that Arsenal want, and are hoping to do a loan deal with an option to buy instead.

This isn’t the first report about Fenerbahce wanting Lucas, and it feels like they’re dragging their feet over the deal.

Arsenal left Lucas in England so he could find a new club, but may return from China to find he is still there.
