Over the weekend, a rumour began circulating that Everton are willing to pay £30m for Theo Walcott.
Ronald Koeman reportedly wants to sign Theo Walcott as a replacement for wide-man Yannick Bolasie, who’s been ruled out for the rest of the year with a knee injury.
The 28-year-old has two years left on his current contract with Arsenal and despite spending over a decade at the club, looks no closer to getting regular football in the first team considering the players above him in the pecking order have a lot more to offer.
This, combined with the England forward’s rumoured £30m asking price, is why Everton fans aren’t entirely sold on the idea – far from it.
While there are some who see the potential in signing a player with his pace, most have highlighted his career-long injury woes, as well as general inconsistency on the pitch, as their main concerns.
Would you be happy with Theo Walcott for £30m?
Retweet.
