Lucas Perez’s agent Rodrigo Fernandez believes Deportivo have made the best offer to Arsenal and is frustrated there still hasn’t been any agreement with the La Liga side.

Lucas has been linked with a move all summer and the rumours have only intensified with the club-record signing of Alexandre Lacazette. The fact Lucas’ shirt number has been taken by the new signing and his exclusion from the pre-season tour hints towards an exit.

As reported in the Express, Lucas said he wanted to “leave to play and be happy”. He’s believed to have received multiple offers from clubs, the best of which is from his old club Deportivo.

Lucas’ agent told Voz de Galicia: “I’m waiting for Arsenal to come back to me, but the best offer they have on the table for Lucas is from Deportivo.

“At Arsenal they know he’s going to play very little there and they know that Deportivo want him. It would be good for everyone to sell Lucas Perez. We have to convince them.”

It’s no surprise the Spanish side are apparently interested in bringing the player back to the club. He had a very tight bond despite the relatively short amount of time spent at the Estadio Riazor, and enjoyed a successful season in his last campaign, getting 17 goals in 36 appearances.

Although he didn’t score as many last season, this was because he didn’t get many starts, failing to complete 90 minutes in the league on a single occasion. His exit looks inevitablee but Arsenal aren’t budging on their asking price.
