Antonio Conte confirmed at his press conference that Pedro was taken to hospital after his clash with David Ospina, but thankfully  he is ‘ok’.

Ospina clattered into the Chelsea man in the first half of their friendly game on Saturday. This is not the first time Ospina has half-killed a player, heck, it’s not even the first time he’s half killed a Chelsea player.

Substituted after the incident when he was very slow to get up, Pedro was taken to hospital to make sure that no lasting damage had been done.

Quite how the referee saw this as a foul against Arsenal, I’m not sure.

“He should be okay but I think he had concussion,” the Italian said.

“For this reason, our doctor preferred to take him to the hospital and check him in the right way. It is a pity because in this period it is not good to have this type of injury but he should be okay. For sure he stays here [in Beijing] and then if the situation is okay he will come tomorrow to Singapore.”

Arsenal, for their part, didn’t even mention it.
