After what feels like years of waiting, Alexandre Lacazette is finally an Arsenal player.

Arsenal’s website have officially announced the signing of Lacazette, who scored 37 goals in 45 appearances for Lyon last season.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with the striker since last summer when they had a bid of around £30m rebuffed. However, this year, Arsenal weren’t hanging about and Lacazette is set to cost them a total of around £60m including add-ons.

The prolific goalscorer could be Arsenal’s biggest signing this summer and while it perhaps paves the way for other forwards to leave north London, let’s just enjoy this for what it is at the moment: a shiny new signing.
