Arsenal played in front of a whopping 163,652 fans over two matches during their pre-season tour in Australia.

The Gunners played Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers over three days, putting in excellent match-winning performances and allowing their Aussie fans to experience seeing them in the flesh for the first time in 40 years.

As a result, the ANZ Stadium’s annual aggregate attendance has risen to over 1m, which is great news. In fact, a total of 1,140,148 people have passed through their gates since last year.

According to ANZ’s website, their best year was in 2013. They saw 1.634m visit during a year that featured a British & Irish Lions Rugby Test, two State of Origin games, a Socceroos World Cup qualifier, and a visit by Manchester United.

Arsenal’s 3-1 win over WSW is the third most successful event at the stadium behind two Adele concerts, which saw 194,728 total fans attend both evenings.
